Workshops

Circle of Security® Parenting™ Program

I’m currently accepting parents for a Circle of Security® workshop! This workshop is virtual. As a Registered Circle of Security® Parenting™ Facilitator, I guide parents through the early years of parenting with the goal of creating safety and security with your child. This curriculum is provided by Circle of Security® and is geared toward babies four months old through six years old. It focuses on appreciating your child’s strengths, building your own reflective capacity, and supporting safety and responsiveness within your relationship.

Here’s what Circle of Security® says about their model:

At times all parents feel lost or without a clue about what our child might need from us. Imagine what it might feel like if you were able to make sense of what your child was really asking from you. The Circle of Security® Parenting™ program is based on decades of research about how secure parent-child relationships can be supported and strengthened. Using the COSP™ model developed by the Circle of Security originators, our trained Facilitators work with parents and care-givers to help them to:

Understand their child’s emotional world by learning to read emotional needs

Support their child’s ability to successfully manage emotions

Enhance the development of their child’s self esteem

Honor the innate wisdom and desire for their child to be secure

Does this sound like it might be a good fit for you? Parents often join this course because they want to understand their child’s behaviors and they want to know how to respond appropriately and feel a deeper connection with their child. It’s a warm and inviting space for you to come and learn more about your relationship with your child in a tailored way.

This workshop is virtual and will meet within a HIPAA protected group space each week. Each group meets for 60-90 minutes over an 8 week period. All you need is your phone or a laptop and internet connection. Detailed instructions will be sent once your registration is received. This group is only open to five members/couples.

I would love to share this special journey with you!

Infant Cues Workshop

Ever wonder what your baby’s cries mean? Or what they may be thinking when they clench their little fists or smack their lips? In this one hour workshop, parents and caregivers will learn about common infant cues and what their newborn is trying to communicate to them. This is an opportunity to learn about your baby’s unique communications and furthermore, how to respond to your baby in these moments. You will also learn about newborn states of being, such as windows of alertness and sleep (and everything in between). This is a basic, easy to follow workshop and you will walk away with a better understanding of your baby and their personality, and most importantly, your special role in your baby’s life. As an infant mental health practitioner, I have received specific training regarding infant regulatory and behavioral states, infant cues, infant feeding, sleep, and more. Infants are amazing. I can’t wait to help you learn about your baby!

This one hours workshop is virtual and and will meet within a HIPAA protected group space. All you need is your phone or a laptop and internet connection. Detailed instructions will be sent once your registration is received. The cost is $10 per registration (parent couples count as one registration).
