Description

The concept of divorce is big and intimidating. Understandably, parents are often lost at the thought of introducing the idea of divorce to their child. Based on my work with young children and their parents through high-conflict divorce and custody cases, I created this guide to assist parents with a very basic starting point for supporting their child through the transition of divorce. This guide focuses on five content areas: 1) co-parenting and building a narrative, 2) telling your child about divorce, 3) expectations across households, 4) processing divorce playfully, and 5) additional resources for parents. With scripts, activities, and divorce-specific considerations, this guide is straight to the point and incredibly helpful.

This is not a substitute for therapy. This is meant as a self-help guide for parents.
