Need help supporting your child with calming down? Regulation comes a little easier with these special ideas, curated by a licensed professional counselor and infant, early childhood, and perinatal mental health specialist. Research shows that the more playful the regulatory support is, the more easily these skills are learned by the child. This batch of skills is geared towards young children ages six and below (but can be used with any age!) and consists of ten specific coping skills to be used along with their parents.
This is not a substitute for therapy. This is meant as a self-help guide for parents.
